Dany Franchi is a young talented guitarist and singer from Genoa, Italy. Born 1990 Dany grew up with the guitar under his finger. Since he was a young boy he has been playing with a lot of bands on guitar and drums, which is his secret love. Sometimes he still plays drums in some funk/blues bands.
In 2008 he achieved his Music degree at CPM in Milan, one of the best music schools in Italy, and started immediately his professional music career.
In 2009 he joined the popular “Zibba & Almalibre” band and toured all over Italy, taking part in several TV programs on national channels.
In 2011 he formed the Dany Franchi Band and currently performs with two of the best young talented musicians in Italy: Carlo Dellepiane on Bass and double bass, who studied at the Genoa Music conservatory, and Andrea Tassara on drums, who won the Italian Drummer Contest as best young jazz/blues drummer.
In the same year Dany Franchi won the Blues for Youth Award as one of the best young talents on the Italian Blues scene.
His style is full of different colors and is influenced by a lot of blues and rock guitar masters, including BB King, Robert Cray, Anson Funderburgh, Jimmie&SRV Vaughan, Eric Clapton, Albert King, Muddy Waters, Jimmy Rogers and Jimi Hendrix.
The band has opened many concerts and played with such great artists as Popa Chubby, Kirk Fletcher, Otis Grand, Michael Burks, John Del Toro Richardson, Carvin Jones, Sean Carney, Omar Coleman, Jack Bruce and Robin Trower.
His first solo album ‘Free Feeling’, released in 2012, features several blues artists like Guitar Ray/Italy and famous Ohio blues guitarist Sean Carney. The CD has earned lots of great reviews in several European magazines and on online music websites.
They recorded their second album “I Believe” in Ohio produced by Sean Carney.
